The owner of this Chiang Mai Restaurant opened the business a year ago, at a cost of around 500,000 baht. He has no previous experience in business, and feels that his lack of knowledge is holding back the enterprise, which prompts him to listen to offers. Nevertheless, the first 12 months of trade saw the restaurant accrue 1,560,000 baht in net profits, from receipts of approximately 6,000,000 baht, so he must be doing something right. The location is obviously is his favour, as the eatery sits in a prime entertainment zone in the city, providing live music for diners. The premises are large, sitting on a 1,400 square metre plot, with a building behind the restaurant that could be utilised for offices or accommodation; monthly rent is set at 55,000 baht. The other major outlay is for staff salaries, with 125,000 baht being sidelined each month for the 21 full time and six part time employees. The restaurant provides a shady outdoor eating area and roof top terrace dining, and there is a car park with space for 10 vehicles.
