Built in 1880 on the ruins of an ancient watchtower, on the initiative of Alessandro, third Earl of the genus SantElia, the Villa was designed for a personal residence. Between 1918 and 1920 Don Luigi Arborio Mella, fourth Earl of kind SantElia, overhauled, resulting in the building took the form of a medieval castle and was expanded Park. Family SantElia was one of the richest and most influential in Italy and not only, the Villa became the meeting place and rest of the high society of the time: the Princess of the Romanov dynasty and the Italian aristocracy were the guests of the Villa both summer and winter, including hunted in the area. In 1959, the Villa was sold to the family that currently owns her. In 1961, the Villa was built on one floor and carried out a full restoration. The building also has a restaurant and a spacious kitchen. The second building, with an area of 492 sq. m. is designed for Spa, with a fitness centre, a beauty centre and a Jacuzzi, a heated indoor pool, sauna and Turkish bath.
