The Target is a world class premier international political and economic base.
The centrality of Geneva, along with the prestigious brand and reputation enables Target to host, at any time, seminars, symposia, conferences etc with leading world experts in many fields. Its expert faculty, its solidly established and prestigious reputation, along with its perfect and attractive location, allows the Target to act as a magnet for world leaders in the fields of politics, finance, diplomacy, business, trade and technology.
The Target has a full time staff of 10 people plus a part time faculty of some 41 professors, many of whom are serving ambassadors or fully engaged financiers, engineers, economists or political specialists. Among its visiting faculty, TARGET counts several Winners of the Nobel Prize, former Heads of State or Foreign Ministers, former as well as currently serving Ministers of Economics and Trade, and renowned professors of world repute in a number of
fields. Broadly, the three branches of learning at TARGET are International Relations, International Economics and International Law. Below those three broad headings, however, many dozens of courses taught include such diverse subjects as Leadership; Monetary and Fiscal Policy; Historical Trends and Future Scenario Planning; History; and Energy Policy - to name just a few. All subjects taught come under one or another of the three main branches of learning - but the courses are many in number and diffuse.
Regarding this high level of practitioner experience a recent TARGET Ph.D class had some 14 students as participants. Significant is that some 7 of the 14 students were currently serving Ambassadors in Geneva.
Target offers a three-year Bachelor programme, a one-year Master’s programme, a one-year Executive Master and a three-year doctorate programme. Target has also been, for some years, increasing the number and frequency of its Short term Training (STT) programmes. Such Short term programmes are highly flexible, bespoke, varied and custom-tailored to the needs of a varied clientele. These can run from a 2-week programme for ambassadors, to a one, two, or three-month training for entrepreneurs, economists, engineers, bankers, senior (or junior)
business or government professionals, etc.
TARGET also has understandings, alliances and ad hoc cooperation with some of the leading universities of the world.
One of the TARGET institute’s shareholders wishes to sell 40% stake in TARGET. The price for
that 40% is CHF 2.6 million.
It should be noted, however, that TARGET will also consider any variation on such a sale - meaning that the owners of TARGET are also prepared to consider the sale of say, from 40% to 90 % of TARGET shares, providing that TARGET’s President retains a guiding hand – to whatever degree - as to future TARGET development.
